not again

you are not going to believe this - the pathology lab have screwed the test up - they sent it to Sheffield with the wrong instructions on it - Sheffield have been instructed to extract DNA and store it WTF - no test has been done for chromosomes - I have to go and have ANOTHER set of bloods done to get the correct test completed

I am hopping mad - and the Practice manager - bless her was really nice, she is going to speak to both the Dr's who have been involved in this cock up, and they are going to contact the hospital tomorrow to let them know that I will be coming in Wednesday evening before 5pm to have blood taken and it MUST be sent to the genetics lab in Sheffield ASP for testing as this is a top priority test, and then the Dr's are to phone the lab to let them know that the blood has been taken so that they can keep an eye out for it and do it ASP, she is going to phone the lab tomorrow to find out when I can expect to get the results back.

She also said that I should definately lodge a formal complaint as I have been waiting for the correct tests to be completed for so long now - begining of January I originally asked for this test to be done - 2 weeks it's supposed to take WTF - these guys are supposed to be intelligent, qualified people - monkeys could do a better job!

I have decided to send an email to the hospital - complaining about the complete lack of competence in arranging simple things like blood tests.We'll have to see what excuses they come up with tomorrow, and what the Dr's can come up with in terms of actually getting these results sorted out!
