Consultant just called and said that we'll know within the next couple of weeks when we're to get started - i.e. that we've been matched I was hoping to be getting started then, not finding out that we've been matched then

Fax last blood result to clinic and wait for start date

finally results back

Finally my last blood result is in and everything is OK, will be faxing it over to the clinic tomorrow morning and then it's a waiting game to find out when we're to get started on our first (and hopefully only) IVF cycle

hoping for progress

The practice manager (PM) got in touch with the guy who runs the lab in sheffield - the results will be at the Dr's on Thursday Apparently the test is only supposed to be requested by consultant/fertility specialist but they have gone ahead and done it anyway due to the persistance of the PM, they lab have a 5 week backlog of tests, but they rushed mine through, so I should have the results by the end of the week .

The complaint I put in has been investigated, but the woman who was looking at it has forgotten to forward the findings on to me, only sent them to the PM at the Dr's, so the PM is chasing her to find out why I haven't received a copy even though she's said that she's send me one in her email to the PM

The Dr only wanted to repeat the test So I've told him that that is not an option, and he's going to speak to the practice manager to get ehr to chase it up as she's the one that sorted out the problem last time, so I'm now sat waiting for her to call me back this afternoon

more blood tests

Well I went to have my bloods drawn again for this last result - 2 weeks to wait which I can ill afford, so won't be able to start IVF now until middle of June at the earliest.

Both the Dr's and the hospital are investigating the catalogue of errors that have occured with my blood tests - I have now been waiting 99 days to get all the results back. They were first requested on 23rd January 2007 and it'll be the middle of May 2007 before I get the last result back assuming they actually do the right test this time round!

Will be interesting to see what they come back with after their investigations!
